My wife, Kristen, and I currently live in Bloomington, Indiana where I am finishing up my doctorate in literature at Indiana Univeristy and she is working as a civil engineer at a local private firm, Smith Neubecker & Associates. We have no kids (nor a dog or cat we treat as one). When not working, Kristen immerses herself in photography with a specific interest in portrait photography. She belongs to the Bloomington Photography Club, which provides her an outlet to share her photos. She recently has had a photo on display at the Encore Cafe in Bloomington, at the Sopha Gallery at Indiana University, and at an art museum in Indianapolis. We will be getting a website up for her portraits soon. The only one of her portraits on the web right now can be found on bassist Victor Wooten's website, where he makes use of a Kristen's portrait of his daughter. To see it, go to http://www.victorwooten.com/soulcircus and click on "Ari's Eyes." In my spare time, I play bass with my band, hunt with my bow, and play city league softball. Basically, anything outside the library is a welcome break from my daily tasks of writing and research. Current Position/Job: Teaching Fellow at Indiana University. Field of Research: Twentieth Century Literature and Philosophy. Education: Indiana University, PhD-ABD, Literature and Philosophy Missouri State University, M.A. (1999) Missouri State University, B.S. in Ed. (1994) |
